- Eight-Hour Online Course Will Allow Corporations Worldwide to Unlock Potential, Create New Growth Opportunities -
LOS ANGELES (May 18, 2001) - Continuing to raise the bar set by its previous award-winning work, EDT Learning, a Los Angeles-based company that designs and develops online solutions to help employees and organizations excel, and its partner, Strategos, an innovation strategy firm with offices in Chicago, London, San Francisco, and New York, today announced the launch of their new online business series: "Radical Innovation: Breaking Rules, Building the Bottom Line."
EDT Learning CEO George Weathersby and Strategos CEO Peter Skarzynski said that they were excited to launch the 10-hour online experience, based on Gary Hamel's best-selling book Leading the Revolution, which helps companies create sustainable wealth through radical innovationthe upending of industry dogma and overturning of old business models in order to reset customers' expectations and surprise competitors.
Strategos Chairman Gary Hamel, described by The Economist magazine as "the world's reigning strategy guru," is a world-renowned author and consultant on strategy and innovation. Strategos' basic premise is that "change today is discontinuous, abruptseditious." In his book, Hamel writes that "the ability to think creatively, critically, and radically has become invaluable."
The Radical Innovation Series is a 5-course, 10-hour journey through the world of radical business innovation the lets learners study examples from today's business pages, identify opportunities by assessing their company's core competencies, work through a simulated corporate movement, get tips on unlocking innovative thoughts, and find out what it takes to make radical innovation a systemic capability within their organization.
The series is an effective way to raise awareness and begin to change behavior at all levels of an organization, and is especially powerful as part of a broader approach to driving change deep into an organization: Key senior executives participate in intensive workshops with Gary Hamel and his Strategos consultants, and the rest of the organization is introduced to these tools and concepts online.
The series features emphasizes EDT Learning's hallmarkscase studies, cutting-edge concepts, online activities, and a rich set of toolswhich support the results-oriented, market-tested approach used by Strategos in organizations around the world.
