The Senior Instructional Designer will develop and manage strategies to carry out all phases of business education course development. He or she will coordinate with writers, project managers, and production artists to design compelling and innovative courseware. The successful candidate will analyze business training development needs, as well as design and develop interactive multimedia solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Writes instructionally sound learning objectives using state-of-art and traditional modes
- Works closely with writers and the project team to create interactive design strategies, content outlines, and scripts that meet the learning objectives
- Ensures produceability of all instructional designs
- Develops performance and assessment tools
- Contributes to client development efforts
- Manages and coaches team members to meet tight deadlines
- Ensures that instructional design integrity is consistent throughout all phases of course development
Education/Training/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, or related field is required. A Masters degree in Instructional Design is preferred.
- Five to seven years of experience in a business, management, or executive training and development environment is required, including extensive experience designing computer-based learning programs.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills are required. Successful candidates must also possess excellent presentation skills and be comfortable with facilitating group discussions and making presentations.
Computer Skills/Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Working knowledge of authoring/development tools such as Visio, Director, Authorware and Flash is desirable.
