Introduction to the Business Essentials Glossary
The definitions of many words and phrases in the glossary use other
glossary terms. In a given definition, we italicize terms that
themselves (or variants thereof) appear elsewhere under their own listings.
The cross-references generally take one of two forms:
1. absorption costing. See full absorption costing.
2. ABC. Activity-based costing.
Form (1) refers you to another term for discussion of this bold-faced
term. Form (2) tells you that this bold-faced term is synonymous with
the italicized term, which you can consult for discussion if necessary.
